Our Story
Sunapee Shade & Blind was founded in 2015 by Preston and Christine King with a vision of providing high-quality custom window treatments backed by honest advice and personalized local service.
As the business grew, so did its reputation. In 2020, the company expanded into its current showroom at 75 Newport Road in New London, New Hampshire, creating a welcoming space where customers can explore products, compare styles, and receive expert guidance for projects of every size.
In 2025, Sunapee Shade & Blind entered an exciting new chapter when it became part of NUVA LLC under the leadership of President Shawn Nichols. While the company expanded its offerings to include industry-leading brands such as Hunter Douglas and Alta Window Fashions, one thing remained unchanged: a commitment to delivering outstanding customer service, expert installation, and personalized design consultations.
Today, Sunapee Shade & Blind continues to be proudly locally owned and operated, serving customers throughout New Hampshire, Vermont, and northern Massachusetts with the same personalized approach that has defined the company from the beginning.
